Overview

Russian Words is a spelling practice app for learning and practicing Russian orthography. The app does not require an account, email address, phone number, or social sign-in.

Some app features use online services for content updates, analytics, and leaderboards. Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app may store practice progress, mistake review data, settings, onboarding state, subscription entitlement state, and cached content on your device. This data is used to make the app work and to personalize your practice experience.

Analytics Data

The app may send anonymous product analytics to help improve the app and understand how features are used. Analytics events may include an anonymous client or install identifier, session identifier, app version, build number, iOS version, app language, device locale, timezone, environment, screen or feature events, topic identifiers, question identifiers, option identifiers, durations, counts, and coarse error codes.

Analytics events are designed not to include personally identifying text. The app does not send your email address, Apple ID, raw typed answers, question text, answer text, explanation text, receipt payloads, transaction blobs, or full stack traces in analytics events.

Leaderboard Data

If you use leaderboard features, the app uses a generated player identifier and a display name. Your display name is not required to be unique and should not include sensitive personal information.

Ranked runs may send gameplay result data such as score, duration, correct and wrong answer counts, streak bonus count, day key, content pack information, app version, build number, platform, and submission time. Your display name and leaderboard results may be visible to other users in the leaderboard.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple. Russian Words does not receive or store your payment card details. The app may receive information needed to determine whether full access is active, such as product and entitlement status.

You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.

Technical Data and Server Logs

When the app connects to online services, servers may process technical request data such as IP address, request time, endpoint, status code, and user agent or similar network metadata. This data is used for security, reliability, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and service operation.

Sharing of Data

Data may be processed by service providers that help operate the app, analytics, server infrastructure, and App Store purchases. Data may also be disclosed if required by law, to protect rights and security, or to prevent abuse.

Data Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, reset it in the app where available, or uninstall the app. Server-side analytics, leaderboard, and operational data is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy.

Your Choices

You can stop using online features, change your leaderboard display name, manage subscriptions through Apple, or delete the app to remove local app data from your device. To request deletion of server-side leaderboard data, contact the developer using the email below.

Children's Privacy

Russian Words is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact the developer so the data can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
